Hill's Prescription Diet Dog Food, C/D Canine Urinary Tract Health, 3.85kg

Hill's Prescription Diet have created this urinary tract health dog food for those dogs with/at risk of bladder stones. This uncomfortable problem is caused by a build up of minerals that stick together in the urinary tract. They are called bladder stones because they have a similar consistency to rocks and they may require veterinary attention.

The food that your pooch eats plays an important role in their bladder health. A urinary health dog food like this one can offer the following benefits:
  • Lower levels of protein, magnesium and phosphorous to prevent crystals from forming.
  • Low levels of sodium maintain a normal blood pressure level.
  • Added antioxidants work to control cell oxidisation and encourage a healthy immune system.
Why buy prescription dog food online?

You may have had a recommendation from your vet to feed this specific prescription diet to your dog and of course you agreed. After all, you only want the best for your pooch. A few months of purchasing this food go by and you realise that it's costing a lot more than you thought it would.

Here, at My Pet Warehouse, you'll find the same quality veterinarian pet food but at lower prices. Not to mention, when you buy online it is conveniently delivered to your door or you can choose to collect it from your local store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Food Definitely Works! I have an elderly miniature Boxer who was recently put on this diet by her vet. She's a picky eater abs I thought I was going to have to fight to get her to eat a new food. But she loves it! And I've noticed an improvement in her urinary habits when she's on the food. So it really does help. I know she's not going to be around much longer, but I'm going to do all I can to make her last years as comfortable as I can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Food! My dog had bladder stones about five years ago. My vet put her on the wet CD for 12 weeks. It worked. She was going to need surgery if the food didn't help. She has been on the dry CD since and has had no recurrence of stones. Works great. She also enjoys the taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hills C/D urinary care My French Bulldog Lulu developed stones in her bladder, had surgery to remove them, despite medications they recurred. With C/D urinary care her urine has been clear for several years and whilst she is a fussy eater she has not objected to the change of diet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worthwhile! We were prescribed Hills C/D for our dog who has previously produced calcium oxalate bladder stones. These biscuits have helped keep them under control. Our dog loves the flavour and the biscuits can be soaked to add more water into our dogs diet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable product It’s a good and obviously tasty supplement/addition to a daily feed for my dog who is on this prescription food for the rest of her life. It would be even better to provide an alternative and give a greater choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My shihtzu has been on CD since she was about 3 years old. My shihtzu is now 11 years old. This CD, did not work in the beginning. But, with consistency and after 3 surgeries; My Coco is doing great. It did take a while for her system to gain a liking to this food. But, after stopping all dog treats and little snacks here and there. Coco's system began to adjust to this grain free product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked on my 8 week old puppy My yellow lab puppy came to me with a bladder infection with struvite stones. Because this isn't made for puppies, my vet tried antibiotics alone which didn't work. So, then we tried a different antibiotic and changed to this food for ONLY one week, then she went back on her puppy food for one week. Then back on this C/D for a week. The struvite stones and the infection were gone in the middle of that 3rd week. I can see why this food is prescription only, because especially for puppies, they need to be so closely monitored by the vet during this process since there is no growth factor in this food for puppies. They need to be switched back and forth between this and puppy food until the stones are gone. I highly recommend this food for urinary stones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great treat in between wet food I usually feed my dog the c/d wet food (she loves the stew but will have the cans as well) for her main daily meal. This is so she has more fluids to reduce the return of bladder stones. I leave a handful of this c/d dry food in her slow feeder (a maze) for her to pick at when she wants to. She is really good with it and won’t have it all at once. A handful lasts about a week. She will play with it in the maze and eat only a few at a time, and only about once or twice a day. It is great as a treat which I know is good for her. Going on two years and the bladder stones have not returned.
