Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product We have 2 old cats, one of which has been suffering from an overactive thyroid. We began feeding them both this food 12 days ago and the improvement has been amazing. No more vomiting or constant meowing for food, fur is better and they both like it. We mix a small amount of water with the food in their bowls and feed them twice a day. 1 can is feeding 2 cats per day. A touch expensive but worth it to have our cat so much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life saving product Upon recommendation from my vet, this product has changed the life of my 17 yo cat who has hyperthyroid. She enjoyed the taste from day 1 (which is typically a challenge when introducing new foods as we know). Highly recommend this product to manage this condition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent and very effective product. My cat had been vomiting on a daily basis and had lost a lot of weight. He was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and put onto the Hills YD prescription diet. Worked wonders! I first noticed his fluffy furry coat becoming thicker, fuller and softer. The vomiting stopped and he has put weight back on. I feed him both the biscuits and small amounts of canned food. So happy with the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick Service Super quick delivery and order processing times. In the past I have tried my poor hyperthyroid cat on the wet food from the hills prescription range from My Pet Warehouse and she wouldn't go anywhere near it. It was returned and fully refunded, so thank you!! My cat is happy with this food and has maintained normal thyroid hormone levels since starting on it almost a year ago!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New cat! My 14 year old cat has been on this for about 6 weeks and she is a new puss! She plays every night for an hour, she is so much brighter, with us instead of sleeping endlessly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cat regained condition & general well being on Y/D diet Vet recommended Y/D diet after treating cat's thyroid condition - 6 weeks on Y/D (wet & dry) cat was doing well, regained lost weight and then some - became quite "round". Paying more attention to serving size resolved "roundness" issue. Thyroid condition had caused cat to overeat. After starting the Y/D and resulting "roundness", realised I had a habit of over-feeding cat. A few months later cat is more content, less stressed, less "round" - a return to the original state of cat being. To the Reviewer who's cat "won't touch" Y/D diet: it is my experience that with cats it's a battle of wills; persist, put aside feelings of guilt, don't make a big deal of the meal; cat will eventually yield. Cats mess with us because they can.
