Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would use again and recommend Works well, my dogs wound has scabbed up very quickly and he didn't lick it- he didn't like the smell of it. However you do need to re apply regularly to keep him from touching the wound. I found this helped the healing process than some creams and gels I had been using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heals & Stops Licking I can't say enough good things about Wound-Gard. I first used it years ago on a dog who had gotten a rash from some kind of grassy weed we promptly removed. It started around his paw and with all his chewing and licking it was going up his leg, so in came the Wound-Gard. It was a great way to kill any bacteria and my dog immediately tried to lick it off... but after gagging on the first lick he never went back and paw licking didn't become a habit. Recently used on my dog with sores on her tail, possibly from my other dog occasionally grabbing hold of it. The sores were fixed up in less than a week, hair is regrowing and the other dog isn't grabbing the tail so much, and definitely a whole lot lighter. Honestly it's the best product I've encountered for both healing and stopping them from licking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Badly packagef I purchased a small bottle of wound gard & the packaging was so large it had to be picked up from the post office. If it could have been packed in a small padded bag it would have fit in my mailbox & the postage would be cheaper. I would like to see that put in place,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very effective wound care We were using this on an open temple wound. Was very effective at clearing away any infection and stopping her 'brother' licking at it and making it worse. Large wound took around a week to heal using this spray twice daily to prevent bugs..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wouldn't recommend for my cat's situation. The only reason I am providing a low rating is because it caused my elderly cat extreme distress when applied to burns on her stomach caused by a heated pet mat (even days after the event) - far more distress than the burns themselves appeared to elicit. That saying I have read many positive reviews about this product on the web, so it could be ideal for different situations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not ideal for cat stitches after desexing I just bought this after my small cat got desexed and she was pulling at her stitches with her teeth. She would not leave the cone on her head so the vet recommended this. He did not tell me this would cause distress to my cat once applied. She ran so fast around the house for like 10 minutes and has her back arched still 20 minutes later. I am actually wondering how long until this has worn off! I would have risked her pulling at stitches than to see her unsettled. Also I am writing about the product not my pet warehouse.
